Just why I love Newry in Ireland – there is so much to see

May 8, 2011.

The town of Newry in Northern Ireland is quite a small locale but even so there’s so much to do, it might be tough to pack everthing in to your holiday. I am aware that when you arrive in any new city for the first time it could be a little bit scary nevertheless I thought I would catalog several of my favourite activities to do when you are there.

Costs are usually a consideration for almost any activity I plan on trying inside a new city since keeping expenses down is usually important. Among the most economical things to do is coming to the two major shopping centres at the heart of the city which are the Quays as well as Buttercrane which both have plentiful car parking. I realize that shopping is often related to wasting money but there are plenty of low-priced cafes and knick-knack shops and there’s always window shopping as well.

A much-loved hobby of mine is go-karting and Newry offers an exceptional track on the outside of the city limits which offers affordable rates for both kids and adults. You can get 1 hour on the race track for just $50 bucks which I believe is definitely good value plus racing around this premium race track is a real buzz. Even when you’re in no way into go-karting there is a coffee shop and observation section where you can relax and watch.

Following a long day there’s little as good as a glass or two inside a traditional Irish pub and one of my personal favourites is Bellinis and is situated in the actual middle of Newry. One important thing I like about the bar is the fact that the local drinkers go there to chill out as well and it’s not just other tourists that you’re likely to meet. I’ve generally believed that getting to know local folks is vital for an exciting trip anyplace becasue it is the key to getting an authentic flavour of the local lifestyle.

I hope this guide offers you a number of suggestions on how to make the very best of your vacation in Newry, if you’re searching for a somewhere to stay look into my website Newry hotels for some more articles.
