Have you been working in a role which doesn’t involve dealing with people? Many people find they need a new career with more human interaction in order to make their job more enjoyable. The good news is that there is plenty of different roles and career paths you could choose from.
One starting point is in health and social welfare. There are plenty of roles as nurses, social workers, education welfare officers, welfare rights advisers or health visitors to consider. Some of these can actually turn out being quite stressful but will be very rewarding due to the amount of care you provide to others. A less stressful option might be to consider physiotherapy or personal fitness training These may also be some of the most profitable business ideas stew from home since you can quite easily set up your own business given some experience.
In the commercial sector you might also consider roles as museum education officers, tourism center assistants, receptionists, store demonstrators or even air cabin crew. There is hundreds of other types of roles you could pursue. If gaining a good salary is still important then working in public relations or legal firms could be another option. This would however require a number of years education before you actually start into it property.
Sometimes when you need a new career that involves human interaction you should look closer to home. In particular, does your current company require managers? Working in management does offer the opportunity to deal with people on a daily basis and would actually build upon your current experience and knowledge of your industry.
One risk when you need a new career is omitting to do your research before starting into some new role. You have to try contacting individuals working in the new profession you’re considering before launching into such roles. Find out exactly what the role is like before you launch into it.
