Designer dogs are getting more popular these days. If you were considering buying a designer dog, you would want to consider teddy bear puppies.
Teddy bear puppies are a mixed breed dogs. Combining a purebred Shih Tzu and Bichon Frise would produce these cute teddy bear puppies. Though this new breed of dog is gaining popularity, the American Kennel Club has yet to recognize it. Upon recognition teddy bear puppies would be officially named as Zuchon.
What Do Teddy Bear Puppies Look Like
Noticeably, teddy bear puppies are named as such due to its appearance resembling that of a teddy bear. They have flat faces, short tails, and large, appealing eyes. These dogs are quite short reaching at about a foot in height and weigh just about from 5.5 to 6.5 kilos. Such dog breed maintains cuteness even as adult. Teddy bear puppies grow hair instead of fur thus; they are non-shedding dogs.
Qualities of Teddy Bear Puppies
Teddy bear puppies are mild mannered dogs. Their temperament is geared towards being friendly. Behavior of dogs, however, depends on how dog owners train them. Dogs typically have behavior of barking incessantly for no reasons. For this type of problem try using bark off, an electronic device using ultrasonic sound waves distracting dogs and stopping them from barking.
Being friendly makes teddy bear puppies perfect for little kids at home. Kids would not be terrified from a teddy bear puppy’s size. Family members who have allergies to dander, a material similar to dandruff shed by dogs, would likely love this dog breed. Teddy bear puppies are considered hypoallergenic dogs as their coat contains very little dander.
A dog is a pet for life and therefore you should be taking care of dogs with long lifespan. Teddy bear puppies are considered healthy dogs, if bred correctly, and are expected to live for approximately 17 years.
