The freedom to eat good tasting food that is also good for you is exactly what we are all searching for. There is one particular type of meat that will let you have good taste and healthy eating combined and that meat is chicken.
People have been aware of chicken’s great taste for thousands of years but it hasn’t been until quite recently that nutritionist and doctors have discovered just how healthy chicken really is.
Once it became common knowledge that chicken was very high in B vitamins and other nutrients health care people started taking notice. But when word got out that chicken contained no carbohydrates and very little fat all sorts of medical professionals and average people started to clamor for chicken.
It was the health aspect that had doctors advising their patients to eat more chicken and less red meat. If a patient was obese, on a diet, suffering from heart disease or diabetes chicken became a mandatory item on the menu. You can eat chicken many times during the course of a week and never do any harm to your health.
As an added bonus chicken is one heck of a good tasting meat. People from all over the world eat chicken and they love it. It is because of the wide range of people that eat chicken that there are so many ethnic recipes for the bird. With the many recipes are the many ways you can cook a chicken. All combined there is surely a recipe and a way of cooking chicken that will satisfy just about anyone’s taste.
If your chicken dinner needs a side dish then a potato recipe that is matched will do just fine. If you would like some soup with your dinner then a slow cooker potato soup will hit the spot.
Chicken is a dish that is just not healthy but is also very tasty. Next time you are putting together your weekly menu make sure to include chicken a few times a week.
